When does the Town pick up my leaves?
Leaf Pick Up Season:
November 1st – January 31st Annually
Other times:
Leaves are picked up in trash bags

How do I receive a special garbage pick-up?
To schedule an extra pick-up, call Town Hall at 828-728-8272.
Pickup loads: $40.00 per load
Dump Truck loads: $60.00 per load
When is the Spring Clean-up event?
Spring Clean-up is typically scheduled during April each year. Watch for announcements next spring!
When is my garbage picked up?
Garbage is collected for Hudson residents on either Wednesdays or Fridays. Find your "trash day" on the schedule below. Trash collection for business customers is on both Wednesdays and Fridays.
What type of garbage container can I use for pick up?
IMPORTANT: REPUBLIC SERVICES PICKS UP THEIR TRASH CONTAINERS ONLY!
Republic Services provides one trash container per household/business for weekly pick up. Because the truck actually picks up the containers (not the driver), only their specified containers can be used. If you need additional containers, please call Town Hall at 728-8272. We will have Republic Services contact you. There is a charge from Republic Services for additional containers.
When do I put my trash to the curb for pick up?
Trash is to be placed at the curb by 6:30 a.m. on the day of pick up. Containers shall be stored on the owner's property and not left on a public right-of-way after pick up. (Town Ordinance - Section 9.29)
Will the Town pick up my tree limbs?
The Town has guidelines for the collection of yard waste and tree limbs. These guidelines are important in helping to keep our Public Works Department on schedule and in keeping our employees safe. The guidelines are listed below, and please feel free to contact us at 728-8272 if you have questions.
