Community Development

The Hudson Community Development Association is a group founded for the betterment of the Town of Hudson. The Association has been in existence for over thirty years and handles many community projects.

Of special note is the Hudson Depot Restoration Project in the Hickman Windmill Park. The original Hudson Depot which was in danger of being destroyed was moved to its present location by HCDA in 1997. The Depot has since undergone restoration and has been transformed into a beautiful museum facility housing collectibles of Hudson and Caldwell County History. The Depot Museum is open during special occassions and to school classes for field trips.

HCDA is a completely volunteer organization which encompasses people from many walks of life. Involved in this group are citizens of Hudson as well as local Hudson business people. The group welcomes anyone who has a desire to work for the betterment of the Town of Hudson. They meet regularly on the 1st Tuesday in odd numbered months at 6:00 at the Town Hall.

Tanya Yearick is the current President of the group. For more information call Hudson Town Hall at (828) 728-8272.
