Hudson Optimist Park
Brick sales to be placed at Optimist Park
History of Hudson Baseball:
The first organized Baseball team in Hudson started in 1955. Hudson did not have a field to play games on so they would travel to Granite Falls and Lenoir to play. In 1961, the Hudson Optimist members broke ground on what would become Hudson Optimist Park. The Town of Hudson now owns the Optimist Park and have plans to renovate the park and preserve the History for future generations.
The Hudson Recreation & Town of Hudson want to give an opportunity to all who have worked, coached, umpired, volunteered, played Baseball, Football, and Cheered over the last 65 years and to all the future participants, a chance to have their name forever displayed at Optimist Park. Our plans are to renovate the park and use the brick sales to help with the renovations.
Brick cost: $100 per brick
To purchase a Brick or if you have any questions, contact Charlie Downs, 828-726-6304
